Derek Bontrager, CSFA is a certified surgical first assist with over 20 years of experience in the medical field. He has worked with Dr. Amber Randall exclusively since 2009. Prior to becoming part of Dr. Randall’s team, he worked in EMS, central supply and sterile processing. A graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington, IN and Penn State, he received his CSFA designation in 2009, from Meridian Institute of Surgical Assisting.
Kandice Pena is a certified Phlebotomist and Medical Assistant, serving patients in Arizona for 24 years. She has worked in lab, clinical, and surgery settings. While she has worked alongside Dr. Randall for over a decade, she has previous experience in Primary care, Osteoporosis clinics, and assisting in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. She graduated from Pima Medical Institute in 2000.
Kandice currently schedules surgeries, obtains authorizations, and completes clinical administrative duties for Dr. Randall's clinic. She says it is a privilege to be a part of Dr Randall's team.
Kandice is a native of Arizona. She enjoys supporting local businesses and the farmer's market. She enjoys family time, traveling, and camping.
Kandice is fluent in Spanish.
